Dr. Leary is one of the very first physicians in the nation to meet the rigorous standards of education, experience, and evaluation required for certification by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine. Dr. Leary is also certified in Emergency Medicine, and had a successful career in a level 1 trauma center with a faculty appointment at the University of Virginia in 1989. He practiced Emergency Medicine at prestigious Eisenhower Medical Center from 1991 until founding California Vein Specialist in 2002. He has received extensive postgraduate training in phlebology. Dr. Leary has been recognized as a leading Orange County vein specialist and for his skill in performing endovenous laser procedures by acting as a national physician training center for the company that introduced the procedure.
Michael Setareh, MD
Dr. Mike is passionate about helping his patients achieve their health goals. He understands that feeling good is just as important to your health as your lab values, and works closely with his patients so they have the best care possible. Dr. Mike graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He later went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University before going to the University of Arizona where he completed his residency in family and community medicine. While there, he also completed the Curriculum of Integrative Medicine in Residency from the prestigious Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. Personally trained by Dr. Leary, we are confident you will continue to get the highest quality care and results our patients are accustomed to. He has mastered sclerotherapy and has demonstrated in-depth knowledge and understanding in all aspects in the treatment of venous disease. A Southern California Native, Dr. Mike loves spending his free time with his wife and their new daughter. Beyond practicing yoga and jiu jitsu, he is also an avid hiker, exploring with their german shepherd, Jackie.

She has also been personally trained by Dr. Leary in the art and science of cosmetic sclerotherapy. Mitra prides herself in continuously updating her product and treatment knowledge to further her skills in sclerotherapy and aesthetic medicine.
